Nature’s plants and herbs that kill viruses

Certainly we are in a time of crisis and people are grasping at straws. The president is giving out false information and he is stifling the remaining intelligent experts in his administration who are able to help. The medical institution is saying it has no true relief from this virus, so what can you do?? Let’s take a look at nature, because the human body is a natural system only designed to consume foods, herbs, and other plants.

There are a great number of natural plants grown throughout the world that kill viruses. The doctors of Ayurveda, Chinese Medicine, Tibetan Medicine, and others have known this for thousands of years. The Western world is just a newcomer and has forsaken nature’s bounty for drugs that the body automatically rejects as foreign invaders. But in this time of crisis, we have to sort things out. There is no guarantee that the following plants will kill off this current menace of a virus, but perhaps if we consume enough of them we will have a fighting chance.

A few years ago I wrote a book called The Super Foods Diet. For this book, I researched a plethora of plants that are superfoods in that they are extraordinary in their ability to perform all sorts of biochemical functions, from boosting the immune system to being antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, brain and boosters, and so on. The more superfoods you incorporate into your body the better your immune system has of defending you against disease.

The following are found in NutriPlex Formulas’ formula called VITAL DEFENSE:
Olive Leaf
Pau d’Arco
Milk Thistle
Black radish
Turmeric

The following are found in NutriPlex Formulas’ formula called IMMUNE SUPPORT:

Astragalus
Maitake mushroom
Echinacea
Garlic

Here is a partial list of antiviral foods and herbs for you to consider

Oregano
Tulsi, also called Holy Basil (recommended source: Organic India)
Fennel
Peppermint
Lemon Balm
Turmeric (recommended source: Organic India)
Licorice (not the candy, but rather the herbal plant)
Ginger
Dandelion (you can find this on your lawn in many areas!)
Cat’s Claw

Other plants for health

There are many other herbs and plants that are antiviral. In addition, there are plants that boost the immune system and detoxify the body. Plus, there are plants that help alkalinize the body and help with inflammation and feed the respiratory tract. Alkaline minerals that carry a positive charge are known to help open the bronchioles of the lungs to help with easier breathing. Calcium lactate helps stimulate white blood cell count. And vitamin C foods keep the body strong.

Washing yourself and surfaces

Keep washing your hands, staying apart from others, and cleaning surfaces with alcohol or a good soap, or chlorine-based cleaner. A new analysis found that the virus can remain viable in the air for up to 3 hours, on copper for up to 4 hours, on cardboard up to 24 hours and on plastic and stainless steel up to 72 hours. This study was originally published in the preprint database medRxiv on March 11,  and now a revised version was published March 17 in The New England Journal of Medicine.

A lasting idea and wish for you and your family
These are difficult times, but Janice and I, as clinicians, owners of NutriPlex Formulas, grandparents, and parents, just want you to know that we are one big human family living on a beautiful and bountiful planet. Despite the politics going on, we have to look to ourselves for support and love. We’ll find this in those who are closest to us – the loved ones in your life. We have found over the years with intense meditation that life is one singular movement so that we are all really in this together. We are all stronger than we think and we’ll get through this. Please take care of your families and yourselves and look to the good, because there is plenty to find.
